Lessons
Pickleball lessons are currently offered by the City of Edwardsville Parks & Recreation Department, and the Meyer Center YMCA. Lessons are taught by Bob Biarkis and Steve Horrell.

Bob Biarkis is a certified coach of the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) and an OMG Pickleball Club member. The Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) was established in 2018 to educate, certify and serve those professionals teaching the immensely popular sport of pickleball. PPR is the official education and certification partner of USAP (formerly the USAPA). PPR combines the educational resources of the Professional Tennis Registry and the expertise of 5-time National Champion Sarah Ansboury to develop courses and workshop materials in order to certify PPR members to teach and coach pickleball. Earning this credential is an accomplishment for Bob and one that will benefit our local pickleball players.
Steve Horrell is certified to teach by the Professional Pickleball Registry and has taught physical education in public and private schools, and journalism courses at SIUE. He has also run K-12 soccer camps in central Illinois, and has coached high school soccer, wrestling, softball and cross country.
Steve has played in several pickleball tournaments and teaches 3.0 Skills & Drills for OMG.
