KaSandra Gehrke
KaSandra Gehrke grew up in a small town called Marshall, Wisconsin. She has always been a natural athlete and very involved in sports. In high school, she played volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was named defensive player of the year for basketball and all conference for volleyball. She went on to UW-Whitewater to get her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health.
After graduating from UW-Whitewater in 2015, she was a middle/high school coach for volleyball and basketball and she also taught Physical Education for three years at Wisconsin Heights in Mazomanie, WI. She was the head coach for club volleyball for several years out of high school for Northstar volleyball in DeForest, WI. Her true passion is teaching, and she loves to see the success of her students after her clinics and camps.
Even without a tennis or racket sports background, KaSandra took to the sport very quickly and decided to go pro in her first few years of playing. KaSandra ended up leaving Wisconsin Heights School District to pursue her dream of becoming a pro pickleball player in 2018. In 2019 she was in the top 10 females in the country and is currently in the top 30 female players. She has won a few open National’s titles and received a bronze medal at US Open in 2019.
When KaSandra isn’t playing pickleball, she loves to spend time with her boyfriend Caleb and her golden retriever, Finley. KaSandra loves lifting weights, playing volleyball, hanging out with family, taking Finley to dog parks, and traveling the country with Caleb.
